Okay, so yesterday I got my package of Princess Princess stuff, which is the entire manga series, the + manga and the Premium artbook.

Oh, and also the 2009 Macross Frontier calendar.

So I decided to use the front page to ask my mum on how old she thinks Sheryl, Alto and Ranka are, based on their designs. Her answer:

Sheryl: 20-21 years old (She looked a little older and more sober than she generally was in the series.)
Alto: 13-14 years old (Justified, he looks a lot younger than in the series in that picture.)
Ranka: 8-9 years old (Looked like she did in the series, if a bit older actually.)

Hopefully this is the true end.
Because if the next mecha sniper I like gets killed off...
...Well, I haven't thought that far.

Well, finally got to the end of 08, also known as the Year of Dead Mecha Snipers. You want to know the most coincidental thing? They were all my number one favourite characters in their respective series (now taken over by Tieria, Sousuke and Sheryl/Canaria). Hopefully 09 wont throw me into a similar loop.

And there'll be Hetalia anime!! *Squee* I must admit that I'm biased because I love how the Nordic countries are portrayed in the webmanga.

This year was also known as the Year of Comic Book Movies, with Batman, The Hulk, Hellboy, Iron-Man and probably a few I forgot got their own movies. I wont comment on them much because I haven't watched them.

Next year they're doing Watchmen, a group of superheroes I only know by name, as I haven't read anything about them. However, visiting Scans_daily on LJ can make you WTF at what's coming now:

Witchblade and Red Sonja are slated for their own movie releases in 09. Yeah. Those two books that's about big-breasted women in metal bikini thongs waving around gigantic swords/claws/weapons/whatever.

WTF Marvel?! She-Hulk, Shadowcat and Ms. Marvel would have been a better choice over Red Sonja. But that's maybe because I envision a Ms. Marvel origin story would make a good movie. (Daughter goes against father's wishes and becomes a fighter pilot, crashes where a UFO's been sighted and subjected to radiation, gets powers and has to stop aliens from taking over the world...)

Ah well, at least I have Hetalia, Slayers Evolution-R and Gundam 00 (but without Lockon ;_;) to look forward to.

Okay, so it's my birthday today and it began a cold rainy morning (that became a cold and sunny afternoon).

My parents and sister woke me up with presents, but due to their forgetfulness, their presents had been hastily shopped for the day before (I got soap, some lotion, money and a box set of the only Miss Marple movies that I've ever hated).

But all is forgiven because I got the best birthday present EVER!
